Access control for buildings and businesses

Access control combines devices with operating rules. We define entry requirements for employees, visitors and contractors to assess equipment, permission profiles and maintenance at each access point.

Access control for buildings and businesses

Define who can enter, where and when

Before choosing a reader or barrier, document user groups and their permissions. An office building, parking area and contractor entrance have different flows and responsible teams.

The assessment identifies existing access points, credentials and how users are added or removed. This helps identify outdated permissions, manual steps and coordination needs with reception.

  • Inventory of pedestrian and vehicle access points.
  • Readers, turnstiles, barriers and associated components.
  • Employee, visitor and contractor profiles.
  • Procedures for adding users, removing access and reviewing permissions.

Plan for incidents and exceptional situations

The proposal should consider what happens if a device fails or loses communication. Contingency arrangements are coordinated with the building manager and existing systems.

Entry controls must be compatible with building circulation and exit conditions. Decisions about emergency access or physical alterations are assessed with the relevant technical professionals.

Maintenance and integration

Maintenance covers the access points and devices identified in the contract. Reports record faults, completed tasks and recommendations for repair or replacement. Where the system depends on networking or power, the responsible team is identified.

Integrating an access point with CCTV or a management platform requires compatibility checks. Installations cannot all be combined in the same way, and integration is not automatically included in the maintenance contract.

Information we need

Share the number of access points, approximate user flow, operating hours, installed equipment and credential types. Indicate whether you want to maintain the system, expand it or resolve a specific issue.

URBANARC assesses solutions for corporate, commercial and industrial buildings in CABA and Greater Buenos Aires. The proposal must clarify the technical scope and who retains day-to-day administration of users and permissions.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with cards, apps and biometrics?

Options are assessed according to needs, compatibility and building conditions. The identification method and its administration are agreed before the solution is defined.

Who adds and removes users?

This must be expressly defined. Maintaining devices does not by itself mean that the provider manages every user permission.

Can turnstiles and vehicle barriers be included?

They can be included in the survey and scope. The model, installation, condition and maintenance requirements of each device are checked.
